You'd think serious action on fraud would be a huge political issue, with politicians competing to present better and more aggressive solutions. Doesn't happen. I don't know why.
My actual favourite thing about Marie is her zero tolerance policy to nonsense replies. It’s fun to follow along but more importantly it makes deciding whether or not my thought is actually worth posting an exhilarating experience. A reply that earns a like is basically a legal high.

Once again I beg the BBC to simply shut down half of its channels and actually make some decent programmes that can fill the remaining airtime instead of subjecting us to endless repeats of bargain hunt forever more

So my hot take on skills education is that it’s a good idea for everybody to learn a trade whether they plan to go to university or not. Learn an useful life skill gain an appreciation for manual work and get a fall-back option

I’m no vegetarian but I do really encourage everybody to consider how much meat they’re eating and what kind of meat. Some animals are way less intensive on the environment than others! Grazing cattle and sheep consumes huge areas of land. Eating mussels is basically ecologically free!
