I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Looking forward to this conversation about ways that our #builtenvironment can positively impact levels of #socialconnection in communities. I'll focus my comments on #housing, particularly exploring work that we have been doing with @happycities.com and local governments in BC.

As cities deal with the effects of climate change, protecting the tree canopy & planting street trees will be critical. Surface temperature on two adjacent blocks of the same Winnipeg street. The second block had its street trees removed in the 1960’s to add car lanes.
