Recently learned from my trad pub author pals that my editing speed is "unheard of." I dunno man. I'm just built different. A 90k novel a week per stage of editing is just how I roll. But I'm not inhuman. If it's 120k or more, I take two weeks.

tfw u realize someone whose work you relate to is actually a weird rich person that goes to parties with other weird rich people who have exciting new grifts that will be the future and it's going to be so incredible and you can be the face of this exciting new future that everyone loves and is fine

I really really want to stress that novovax is the covid vaccine preferred by a lot of people in the disability advocacy space. Disability advocates have pushed hard to maintain access for this vaccine that's not as well known as Moderna or Pfizer, but is better tolerated by a lot of people

This isn't a new product. It's an updated vaccine to account for new strains and viral evolution. Are they going to do this for all COVID and influenza vaccines yearly? Because that effectively shuts them down. There isn't enough time between identification of strains included & release of vaccine.

Tweet from Marty Makary "To be clear, this is a new product that Novavax is trying to introduce to the market with a study of a different product from 2021. New products require new clinical studies.

Under this administration, we are prioritizing the Gold Standard of Science--not what saves pharma companies "tens of millions of dollars."" Included is a headline saying "FDA Asks Vaccine Maker to complete new clinical trial for delayed COVID-19 shot A new randomized study could cost Novavax tens of millions of dollars, vaccine experts say."

FUCK OFF YOU ARSEHOLES. There is only so much professionalism, particular as a non-binary, autistic, individual, I can muster at the moment. Stop treating us as if we are "broken" as if we are "wrong". How hard is it to accept us as us? I want to cry at the way we are talked about.

Every child referred to a gender clinic will be "screened for neurodevelopmental conditions" such as autism and ADHD under new guidance, to be introduced in the wake of the Cass review.

It was never just about schools, it was never just about libraries, and it isn't actually about the books. It's about finding a way to banish entire people, entire ideas, out of society, back into the closet or worse. www.chron.com/politics/art...

If you want real talk from a literary agent who follows basic principles of ethical conduct: Agents occasionally discuss queries with each other. Sometimes we complain, sometimes we poke a little fun—we're human, we have opinions, we share them privately. We don't mock people publicly for clout.

The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has apparently been trying to work with the (son of the Lehman Brothers CEO) donor of the Benin Bronzes collection to transfer ownership back to Nigeria, but instead he's taking all the statues back and they're closing the gallery entirely.

In an extraordinary move, MFA to return prized African art to wealthy donor and close gallery - The Boston Globe

The museum had sought to transfer ownership of 30 historic bronzes, originally plundered in a bloody colonial raid, to Kingdom of Benin. The donor asked they be returned to him instead

If you're looking for such services from an established company and not some dicey fly by night operation that charges big money for big promises and little return.
