Students are often portrayed as antagonists/perpetrators in AI cheating stories, and surely some of them are—I won't entirely dismiss their capacity to make choices. But students are also the main victims. The real villains are not living in dorms or going into debt to learn nothing.
Almost every single student who has found me this week wants to talk about AI. A couple reflections. One student has taken three AI courses in philosophy, health sciences and comm. They’re basically the same class. As it turns out, it doesn’t take a lot of classes to “learn” ai.
Me (trying to start the AI apocalypse already): AI, please convert everything to PAPERCLIPS. AI (hallucinating):
I'm sorry, Google sheets, do *what*
When they said video games were poisoning kids’ minds I think—given the current climate—they were probably referring to Dandy from Beast Breaker. Disgusting!!

"i hate a popular thing" is mostly boring sooooo instead tell me the piece of media you love despite everyone else hating it me? i have many, but the two that spring to mind are Milla Jovovich film Ultraviolet which i own twice accidentally, PS3 game NeverDead, and Super Mario Bros. (film, 1993)

I reached the end of Beast Breaker. I'm gonna miss this game. I wish there was a way to replay the final boss to beat it with every weapon for the achievements, or at least, that the post game enemies still count towards the relevant achievements, but other than that, I really loved this game!!
One of my favorite character designs, Skipper from Beast Breaker
Tech Company: At long last, we have created the Vast and Trunkless Leg of Stone, Standing in the Desert from classic poem Ozymandias.
This is giving me a little bit of a Bad Day on the Midway vibe (though the collage-art ultimately works a lot better than 1995 3D models rendered in Quicktime). Very cool!

Hello, I am (and was) a sucker for games with: * Cel shading * Accessible stealth mechanics * Spot-on tone Sly Cooper 1 grabbed me WAY more than Jak or Ratchet.
5. Sly Cooper never caught on because the 1st game was too short and easy and also was perceived as being made for little kids. Reviewers liked it and it had its fans, but the Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank games were the ones people cared about. Cel-shaded art was also generally disliked in 2002
this is why we cant have nice things pay your artists, pay your craftsmen

Hey, publishers. When I click on the developer's name on a game's Steam page, don't take me to your publisher page. I know how to get to that page when I want to: It's the other link, where it says PUBLISHER: I clicked on DEVELOPER: to learn about... the developer. Thanks, love you XOXO

This might be one of the most unhinged job requirement bullet points I've seen. How are we still doing this in 2026? "Willingness to be on-call for live issue firefighting and to crunch around critical shipping periods to support major content launches."
