the mainstream press praising rod liddle in death are not unaware he was a bigoted pedophile, they like him for it. the people in their in-group, at the top of their hierarchy, getting away with crimes signals that the world is in order. it is a moral good, to them. the bigger the crimes the better

I used to install safety cameras, the only tech in them is a cup and a piece of string - no metal at all. There is, however, a very annoyed redback spider from Australia. We're not sure why it had to be a redback, we tried funnel webs and hunstman spiders, but only the redback worked.

I have it on good authority that traffic safety cameras only contain angry bees and stale Nature Valley bars - don’t waste your time

The "gender critical" movement are not appealing their loss in their fight to stop the puberty blocker trial. The "irreversible harm" James is talking about here is people being trans. That's it. Helen Joyce said it clearly, even if trans people say they are happy they consider them to be "harmed."

Puberty Blockers Trial Update

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that we will not be appealing in our failed judicial review to stop the puberty blockers trial.

We looked at every possible angle for appeal but do not believe the merits are there, given how extremely high thresholds involved.

Make no mistake, the High Court judgment does not negate the irreversible harm that will be caused to children who take part in this trial.

Thank you to everyone who supported us during this campaign and I’m sorry to not bring better news.

I will continue to do whatever I can to stop this trial taking place and will be working with colleagues on alternative strategies over the coming weeks.

In December 2021 Durham University saw fit to invite Rod Liddle as a speaker. He wrote about his interest in young women students, and his speech featured racism and transphobia.

E xciting news from Durham University, which is helping its students to become 'sex workers'. This noble institution is offering two courses in the various forms of harlotry. My only concern is that at present they do not actually offer an academic qualification in these subjects at the very least an undergraduate degree in, say, Practical Whoring. Perhaps followed by an MA in Deconstructing the Topless Hand-Shandy1897-1913. Such courses would probably result in more lucrative career opportunities than many of the more traditional subjects which students pay through the nose to study. I am attending a dinner at Durham University next month and fervently hope that some of the ambitious young ladies on these courses will be in attendance. The Spectator and Sunday Times columnist then claimed the left railed against "science or pure facts", saying "a person with an X and a Y chromosome, that has a long, dangling penis, is scientifically a man, and that is pretty much, scientifically, the end of the story".

He went on to say: "It is fairly easily proven that colonialism is not remotely the major cause of Africa's problems, just as it is very easy to prove that the educational underachievement of British people of Caribbean descent or African Americans is nothing to do with institutional or structural racism".

i'd say "pay attention to who has kind things to say about rod liddle, the racist pedophile, following his death" but to no surprise it is the entirety of the mainstream british press

i have gone my whole life incorrectly assuming everyone else also thinks about and care about the images and narratives that surround them. but it turns out a lot of people don't. vague, dreamlike signal-noise is good enough as long as it affirms whatever equally incoherent feeling they have

a disturbing thing about genAI is how it reveals just how little people actually think about the things they consume and produce. just thoughtlessly nodding along with shit that's totally incoherent because it scratches the right itch. experiencing the world only as swimming in a soup of sensations

An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play

The Campaign to Force Genital Exams on Girl Athletes Soon Washington State could require sex-verification tests for those playing sports in schools.
Portrait of Andrea González-Ramírez
By Andrea González-Ramírez, a senior writer for The Cut who covers systems of power. Those physicals, Maria explains, are usually perfunctory: “Like, Are you walking normally? Are you lightheaded? I have never had to take any clothes off. I’ve never felt uncomfortable or violated.” If IL26-638 were to pass and Maria were still in school, she says she would likely drop out of her team. (We’re withholding Maria’s real name to protect her privacy.) “I honestly don’t know if I would be able to do these tests,” she adds. “It would also make me question, If I do it, are all my teammates going to too? Or would I just play with the three or four girls who are willing to or have access to do it?”
