She left her ex. He secretly tracked her through a network of policing cameras.

Flock’s array of license-plate cameras was built to fight crime. But at least 50 law enforcement officers were charged with or accused of misusing it and other systems.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. Something I talked about repeatedly in 2024: 20 million people, to say nothing of 30, would be the largest forced population transfer in human history, larger any of the three post-WW2 transfers (partition of India, expulsion of Germans, partition of Palestine) or the post-WW1 Balkan cases.

I've reported on Musk for around 8 years. I've co-authored a book on him. I don't think folks understand the rate of his wealth accumulation. Shortly after he helped elect Donald Trump in Nov 2024, his net worth was around $350 billion. That net worth has nearly tripled in less than two years.

This is an extraordinary story, and like a lot of extraordinary stories about wrongdoing and corruption, will become much harder to report if the Trump administration succeeds in requiring NDAs of all federal employees. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/trump-want...

If it were up to the Trump administration you would never read these stories. And the new NDAs are designed to stop these stories from being told. Because their goal is to kill oversight and accountability. They know that principled public servants are not revealing confidential information that creates national security risks, but will expose wrongdoing that is running rampant in this administration. So they want to gag them.
