For the first time a software program shows an “Ai” button and they also included a “remove Ai button” link so it doesn’t continue to intrude. Now that’s kind and user friendly. Now I want to subscribe just because they were so thoughtful and not pushy. All other companies take note.

We have no idea what the motivations were for the Air Dubai co-pilot. We do know that a lot of people are going to use this event for political purposes. Approach all coverage with caution.
AI is a useful, accessible tool that increases efficiency, which is why so many tech CEOs have to openly threaten their workers to use it

The FAA should be much more transparent about what Is going on here. My first question has to do with tech staffing at these locations (techs fix what breaks at ATC facilities). Tech staffing has been an ongoing Issue with ATC that hardly anyone talks about. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Flights delayed out of Newark and Philadelphia after FAA orders ground stops
The agency is dealing with a technology breakdown of some kind at Philadelphia’s Terminal Radar Approach Control, or TRACON, facility.

They have no gods. They work magic, and think they are gods themselves. But they are not. And when they die, they become dust and bone, and their ghosts whine on the wind a little while till the wind blows them away. They do not have immortal souls.
When they eventually make a movie about this time, please don't put the male politicians in good suits. IMO, the ugly, low rent tailoring should be part of the story.
For the last 2 years I have been tracking a generational change in the nature of software development, and I think I've finally decided where all of this turmoil is going to end up. It's good news, but not for everybody. https://seldo.com/posts/we-are-all-product-engineers-now/
We are all Product Engineers now | Seldo.com
Agents are eating the software development lifecycle from the bottom up — code generation already gone, review and ops following fast. What remains is figuring out what people actually want, which can't be automated or scaled. That job is called product engineering, it pays $240k, and nobody's training for it.

The people who go to supermarkets at weekend are a very different species to weekday shoppers. It feels like they’ve just materialised for their first day on earth in the Tesco fresh produce section. No, you can’t just stand there. Yes, that’s a carrot. Well done.

Autocorrecting every instance of 'America' that you type to 'Ontario'. Not just for the lake. For everything.

I emailed a library asking for a small but annoying favour, and they did me a big favour and it's provided absolutely crucial data for a new project and publication, and slopAI could never and yay for humans, and librarians and archivists in particular.

Using social media in middle school predicts lower standardized test scores in high school. Evidence: 10th graders who started social media before 9th grade are ~6 months behind their peers on math & reading. They're more distracted by their phones. No child should have access to social media.
