I’m telling you this as a political scientist. The person who is electable is the one who is elected. This can and does change over time. Any and all speculation about “electability” is either puffery or anxiety and is often both.

A narrow AES win is easily the worst outcome for The Discourse, right? Like, I don’t think it matters for November either way, but it matters for the sanity of the next three months

AES is going up against a member of Congress who was supported by the entire Democratic establishment and had tens of millions of dollars from AIPAC. Polling has given unrealistic expectations about what success looks like. Any win at all is an incredible victory for the left.

Not sure if everyone appreciates the difference. Rooftop solar hardwires into your main panel via a dedicated breaker, so it requires a permit, an installer, an electrician, and a utility agreement. Balcony solar just plugs into a wall outlet, sharing an existing circuit with no permits or rewiring.

Not “He should resign immediately.” Not “We should remove him.” Not “We need to stand against domestic abuse.” Just “We need to make sure our corrupt party can hold this seat.” The Ohio GOP is a party for power. It is not a party for people. Vote them all out.
