It seems Genius has confused my track Triumph from Frozen Synapse with Triumph by the Wu-Tang Clan which is both phenomenal and terrifying on a number of different levels
it's called the odyssey because that guy sees a lot of odd shit
I was responsible for cueing the wall on Series 1 of hit BBC TV show Hole in The Wall John Romero bought me a slice of pizza because I asked him what percentage of Masters of Doom was true in 2007 My music has featured on Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star and a Fanta advert
I invented an alien conlang for a game, then invented a poetry format for it I wrote/directed a game that got ranked 47th best PC game of all time by RPS I've built a game engine from scratch I once made a soup so bad that Alton Brown came into my mentions denying responsibility
It is the year 9149: my consciousness has been reconstituted by the Galactic Hardmesh. Harsh glyphs of textual data - infostreams from other Minds - dance across my vision. I begin to read... "An indie game is a game made by fewer than three people." My screams are subsumed by the machinic noise.
I ❤️🔥the Postmark games crew (high quality and family friendly designs at an outrageously reasonable price). Master of Coin is THE most excited I've been for one of their games since Voyages. It just hits all of my "yes, please" fantasies. Check it and definitely toss 'em a fiver. 👇
Master of Coin is live on Kickstarter! Flip coins to build and manage your fledgling fantasy kingdom in this brand new print at home game from the designers of Voyages. youtu.be/JBABZvlvRgM
Hey who wants to see the least true marketing email subject line of all time?
this exploitation model--perks, rewards, and special services that entice the target to spend more time gambling--is precisely what casinos have been doing for decades (see Schull, Addiction by Design) and tech-gambling has been rapidly workshopping in the past few years (see Cassidy, Vicious Games)

The Video Game History Foundation has called on trade groups like the ESA to find a way to "legally preserve" digital-only games for research. "Asking museums to download a copy of GTA 6 and hope it’ll run in 50 years is not a preservation solution." www.videogameschronicle.com/news/video-g...

I just tried to gravity gun this wall so I can get closer to the sniper on the roof but instead I accidentally made this Ineffectual Dome that just stupidly rolled away....absolute cinema
It's fine - all terminology around games is completely clear at all times and doesn't lead to insane conversations in a legislative setting. This is good and should happen more. Well done everyone.

Feel like basically everyone on this website would enjoy Angel's Egg (1985) - never seen it before and it's...well it's very this:
Yup I've made jokes about this in the past and I probably shouldn't have. Equally we need to disambiguate "the games industry" and explain that "getting into games" means a set of distinct things that are virtually unrecognisable from each other
I sincerely hope I’ve never put anyone off joining this shit show. While it’s very particularly bad right now, the truth is it’s always been a tough place to get into to some extent. If you love games, make games, and make the rest of us catch up with you.
Weird things happen in digital distribution all the time but platforms really need to drop this absurd myth that customers truly understand the implications of licensing. The *idea* that you would do this without some form of compensation as well is absolutely ridiculous.
