I'm tired of this fandom being so clique-y and catty and mean. It feel vast and huge but the community is smaller than u think. Im tired of people vauging and shit talking each other out in the open in front of each other's noses. Its like a constant popularity contest and a witch hunt all in one.
The best thing about the internet is how it brings people together. One of the worst things about the internet is the toxic levels of parasocial behavior. It’s important to keep in mind when you actually know someone, not just that you know OF them. It’s not the same.
Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.
