ICE has now spent over $2.2 BILLION on purchasing 4 private prisons from CoreCivic, with the company banking half a billion dollars on the most recent sale. Of course, ICE will not actually operate these facilities; CoreCivic keeps the contracts to run these places for the foreseeable future.

The US is a monstrous entity, nothing less, nothing more. Truly monstrous.

Everybody, let's keep eyes on Memphis. Their occupation under ICE is flying too low under the national radar. ICE is actually killing people there & has the whole city under siege. And we're not seeing folks care about Memphis like other places.

This is why JKR is a danger to queer people, and people need to wake up to this sooner rather than later. She is picking fights with human rights groups, because they support the existence of trans people and our human rights.

Interesting choice by NYT to publish an op-ed bemoaning America’s projected population decline by a guy who’s massively racist against immigrants and compares IVF to “Nazi eugenics.” The “pronatalists” only want more of a very specific kind of person in this country. It gives the game away.
