You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.
Lots of analysis about threat of the Greens usurping Labour on the left. Reform usurping the Tories on the right. But none about how Binface has completely usurped the Monster Raging Looney Party for the joke vote. Another party that just couldn’t adapt to the attention economy

But one point that I think has not been emphasized enough is: this is a film about living in LA, as Nolan, my erstwhile British compatriot and age mate, has done for years. I gather it’s a strange place.
