Who @markcarney383.bsky.social @maritstilesndp.bsky.social @ontarioliberal.bsky.social is providing any support or oversight to a delusional Ontario Premier who works 50 days a year, cant take care of Ontario, yet plays Toronto Mayor. Who ? If he can wage war in Toronto, who is supporting Ontario?

Ontario would be a much better place if the Premier actually did provincial politics instead of pretending he is the mayor of Toronto (doesn't he only work 50 days a year, so thats a lot of time away already).

Oh Doug Ford - I guess that big mistake of cancelling all those wind and solar projects is coming home to roost now. And funny to think that most of the gas used to power the dirty gas power plants in Ontario is imported from the USA. In fact 75% . Elbows up! #onpoli www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

If the Premier ever stayed in his lane long enough to understand he isn't the Mayor of Toronto, unlike his cracked out Brother. If he understood this we may have less bloody and deadly healthcare. He has been a wrecking ball for toronto for years. Olivia has been doing her job. Get the Premier out!

"A fourth person has been arrested at a protest against the removal of bike lanes in Etobicoke.... The arrest comes as dozens of people continue to protest daily against the Ontario government's work to rip out bike lanes on a 1.2-kilometre section of Bloor Street W."

We all need to wear a sign like this on our bikes, Toronto. Remind drivers that cyclists are not the problem. An undemocratic govt & punitive Premier simping for his car-driving supporters & fossil fuel industry is. He knows his decision will kill cyclists #BikeTO #BikeLanesSaveLives #TOpoli #ONpoli

Resposting the photo in the quote post:
The back of a bicycle in what looks like a parking lot next to a parked car. In the background are trees and people, maybe writing placards for a protest. A red and white checkered blanket on the ground with colourful poster paper spread out on it and a bike helmet. A bright orange sign is fastened to the basket on the back of the bike with black marker handwriting that reads I WOULD RATHER BE IN THE BIKE LANE.

It’s an alarming trend. Bradford didn’t respond to surveys from us, Cycle Toronto, Toronto Environmental Alliance, ACORN and many others. It’s important to know where candidates stand on the most important issues facing the city. Transit. Cycling. Climate change. Housing. Who is he listening to?

Dave Gray-Donald@dgrdon.bsky.social · 3d ago

Transit advocacy group @ttcriders.bsky.social did an extensive survey of Toronto election candidates, asking if they would commit to 18 priorities. Chow committed to all of them. Bradford didn't respond. Christian Malong digs into it for @thegrindto.bsky.social.

"where Doug Ford regularly goes" is the best predictor of provincial policy. * highway to Muskoka * private jet access from queens park to Ottawa via billy bishop * tunnel under 401 for motorcades * absolutely no bike lanes I could ever see * no tolls (407 is fine, I have tunnel)

ℳatt@matttomic.bsky.social · 7d ago

As a reminder, the entire reason this specific bike lane is somehow under the purview of the Provincial Government is because our moron Premier has to pass it on his way to his job (on the rare days he goes to work) and the sight of a cyclist passing his SUV in traffic makes his blood BOIL

a rough map of Doug Ford's house in north Etobicoke, the Bloor bike lanes, and Doug Ford's alleged job at Queen's Park
