This bit was always extremely dumb, but a bit funny, but it got a lot more funny after Takaichi came in and we saw just how dumbstruck she is at receiving it.

This is in general a very bad idea, but it's a particularly bad idea in British Columbia, where ~80-90% of the wilderness completely lacks cell signal. Once you're off the highway (and frequently, even on it), you aren't getting any maps from Google.

That the first dents in Takaichi's armour are an extremely patriarchial imperial succession law and her Karōshi speed run goes to that the Japanese really don't like weeb larping of their worst stereotypes.
The Japanese word for "ta da!" is 「じゃじゃーん」 which makes me think the speaker is triumphantly announcing 炸醬麵/zhajiangmian/jajangmyeon, which... ....hmm, appropriate?

Just occurred to me the explosion of "Power went out in the studio, but the mic stayed on." spam on Xwitter came immediately after the SpaceX IPO and now they're public again and would be nice to scrounge every bit of revenue out there.

I have checked what the Japanese media are saying and there seem to be competing names for the man. Some are going with ゴミ箱伯爵 (Gomibako Hakushaku - Count Trashcan) whilst others are using the katakana that you have for foreign loan-words and opting for ビンフェイス伯爵 (Binfeisu Hakushaku).
