Dr. Phil Acula, Vampire. Not changing it

(he/him) I like coffee. Programmer/magician for Atooi and Transolar. I've seen shit that'll shock ya eyelids. I have no sense of humor and also I never lie. I am normal and can be trusted with strawberries

My student told me he ran his paper through an AI checker to see if it would get flagged even though he wrote it, and it offered to “humanize” his paper by changing the sentence, “Illicit cocaine use is responsible for many potential adverse cardiovascular events” to “Cocaine is a bad, bad drug”

throwing in a rec for Careless People, a book by the former Facebook head of Public Policy 2011-2018(?) with fascinating and horrifying details of how shit the platform is Waterstones (UK Barnes & Noble) is marketing it heavily, as the author can't due to ongoing lawsuits to stop her publicizing it

Does anyone know how to get this on the radar of more VN people? Almost all the response has been from books, which is fine, and makes sense given the circles to which I have access, but I'd like to get beyond those if possible.

the thing about indie games is that if someone designs one single game I love, I’ll get whatever they make for the rest of their lives and pretty much always have a good time. people are so attached to ip but imo you really gotta know the creators.
