Sometimes you will come across an otherwise normal seeming liberal person who is crying about seeing a homeless person and if they don’t agree every single dollar spent on punishment should instead be spent on the front end improving everyone’s lives they are just a fascist who won’t admit it.

I fell off on reading this month because I wasn’t traveling, but I was Le Guinfluenced to start her Hainish books. Didn’t love this one, but excited to get to the others.

I’m shocked that the only Cure album is forthcoming, because the story of how my high school friend group passed around one original cassette of Standing on a Beach and its generations of dubs was, I thought, a commonplace one
