I got hung up in the Claude interface trying to find the connector menu because I don't use it. He asked, "Oh, do you use GPT then"? No sir. I don't use AI unless it's a deeply integrated thing I cannot avoid. I'm not anti-AI. I'm anti "abrogating my thinking to a machine that can't think".

And before y'all say "oh, he's just having it summarize or whatever..." No. Not this guy. I know this guy. He's intentionally choosing that route because "AI is the way". He's choosing a slower, more expensive, less accurate way because "its how it's done now".

Young user wanted Claude connected to his MS 365 account. I got management approval, did the admin thing and got the connector done. The very first prompt he used: "check my email". Not "find blah" or "analyze blah" or whatever. Just checking his email. He knows that Outlook exists, right?

Your Friendly Reminder: Sean Lee Robinson, AKA "Geek With Social Skills" is a known scammer. He has run cons on video game, arcade game, and vintage computer communities for decades - and is still doing it-. Just look up his name.

Lastly, thanks to some awesome people. @polpo.org for loaning me a PicoIDE to show off to everyone (and now I’m more hype for them, too, having used one), and @museumjoe.bsky.social for hooking up my friend’s table with BlueSCSI stuff to show off for his table.

Can confirm - I'm super happy running GUS-only demos on my 486 and Pentium 2 (I got one for both machines). The USB gameport is a nice addition, too (though I often use the one on my SB-32 for my Gravis Gamepad instead)

One of these things is not like the other... It's never been a problem before getting UK stocked items here within the stated delivery window, so I guess I live and learn. And contact Newark to cancel this order.

Top image: shows 786 in stock with delivery in 4-6 days.

Bottom image: says the same item -- the item I ordered -- is expected to ship on 11 September. Over a month from now.

Dear Newark: The product you show as back ordered in my order from a week ago does not show as back ordered on your website. So: anyone waiting on certain products in my store to be back in stock, now you know why they are a bit behind.

BlueSCSI is more than a drive emulator. It's an ecosystem. More supported systems than other solutions, great docs, online diag & config tools, vintage OS integration, WiFi, front panel & CD audio support: plus much more than fits in one doot. That's a lot of bang for less than 50 bucks. #bluescsi

My entire career has been a big game of "Telephone". Someone else telling me how to do a thing. That is the only way I would have learned any of it anyway, because I cannot sit through a class, read a book, skim a manpage, or follow a set of documentation to save my life.
