I think this is true, and I suspect its a combo of 1) fans being asked to directly shoulder the burden of paying athletes/running a department like never before 2) the Playoff 3) INDIANA IS GOOD. If INDIANA is good, why can't ANYBODY in the top 60 become good?

Sunday Thoughts: It feels like half of CFB is having an existential crisis. So many people want to fire their coach, even some with a good record and some with a new coach. Feels like we're in an unhealthy cycle and a weird place mentally. Almost nobody can sustain anything w/ so much change.

18 teams wih: - 2+ P4 wins - road win - win vs. a winning opponent - win vs. FPI top 40 Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Miami, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, SMU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Tech, Wisconsin

Lost in the chaos of everything; last week CDC (yes, this current CDC!) issued guidance for COVID vaccination. Last year they recommended vaccination based on "shared decision making." This year it's a stronger recommendation: "COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for all adults ages 18 years and older"

At a glance

Two types of COVID-19 vaccines are recommended for use in the United States: mRNA vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech) and a protein subunit vaccine (Novavax; now manufactured by Sanofi US Inc).
A 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for all adults ages 18 years and older.
A 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine is also recommended for all children ages 6 months–17 years with moderate to severe immunocompromise; for all other children in this age group, a COVID-19 vaccine is recommended through shared clinical decision-making.
Where a recommendation on this page describes use that is not within the FDA-approved indication, the page identifies it as off-label.
Schedules for the updated COVID-19 vaccines are based on age and immune status

This morning I want to help debunk a headline I keep seeing about Black Women's unemployment: By the end of 2025, 600,000 Black women were not out of the workforce. That number signifies who got DISPLACED. The end-of-year number is actually between 217,000 and 250,000 cc @epi.org and IWPR.

okay politics bluesky, what do you want to know about the PCSA? What it ACTUALLY does, what it says its gonna do, why so many Democratic lawmakers voted for it...whats the stuff that any of you are actually interested in? And its okay if the answer is "actually, nothing really."

i dont know anything about this college sports bill but im assuming its an attempt to bring young minorities to heel while doing nothing to reel in the excesses of the rich, powerful, overwhelmingly white executives making 7 figures?

NEWS — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear criticizes fellow Democrats who say transgender athletes should be barred from women’s sports. “That is not the party that we are. We start as a party of compassion and empathy.”
