Like, it just reminds me of the research that claims that people born deaf typically have communication delays, but when you control for whether their parents bother to learn sign language (of which about 80% don't), then those delays go away.
*literally tons of research* Neurotypical pple have a bias against autistic people, and struggle to understand them. Autistic ppl communicate well with each other & aren't biased against NTs. *researchers' conclusions* Obviously, autistic people have severe social communication deficits

I helped on this one. I found one of the shooters active in an incel forum complaining about being short, attacking women and giving advice on self-harm. The shooters weren't nihilist. They're representative of the ties between incels and white power that's fueled by the great replacement theory.

Dan Flanery@danflanery.bsky.social · 2mo agoOr just change the tax structure. I’d tax capital gains on investments held less than a year at 95%, declining at 5% a year for each subsequent year held. This would reward actual investment, instead of gambling and other forms of financial masturbation.
Perhaps the fact that we are conducting an unprecedented experiment with the only home we have, by digging up and burning massive amounts of fossil fuels that is driving global change at rates 10X faster than the most recent warming of this magnitude that occurred oh about 55 million years ago? 🧐

Every time I grocery shop the red meat section is full of "MARKED FOR QUICK SALE" gray-green looking beef nobody's buying anymore at $19/lb or whatever. Grocers *have to* be throwing more out than ever before.
