I need people to understand that for the last half decade that there’s been an ecosystem of trans folks in sports media who have worked unpaid to serve as experts for context, sources and educators on what it’s like for trans athletes, in hopes of potential bylines and contacts. That’s dried up.

in my experience a large number of non-fascists love to support trans rights but in their mind “supporting trans rights” is just… inviting a trans girl to their girls-only brunch. If you ask them to change their spending/voting habits or their (incorrect) beliefs about biology, that’s too radical

Thing about working with famous epics is that they're famous epics for a reason. Tons of people have had opinions about them for millennia. If you're going to work with one, you know your version is going to piss some people off. Even a *sedate* famous epic inflames some of its audience.

Don't just share the most polished, professional works. Repost the people who are just starting, who are amateur, who maybe don't have the proportions or the anatomy or the color down. Remember they're choosing to pick up a pencil and enjoy the act of creating, many of them for the first time.
