There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

I generally prefer more concrete demands in my political messaging, but for immigration policy we genuinely do need culture war (positive). Decades of tolerating media that shows migrants and drugs as a valid source of criminal danger, on broadcast television, it’s rancid and accepted.

When I say I'm for open borders I actually am for them.

The trans movement is the tail end of a trend that more & more people are now seeing as taking a wrong fork in the road. Everyone has rights, but not everything gets normalized. The illiberal absolutism of this essay just shows how far off the tracks these people are. This author in particular.

I'm generally pretty chill about questionable media consumption, but the NYT is an outright fascist paper that publishes fascist propaganda all the time, it has been such for a decade plus, and if you pay money for it you are directly subsidizing this (and this isn't even considering trans issues)

To a hammer everything looks like a nail etc, but I do think that gender is the first and primary hierarchical division of human beings, and that much of the passion of the transphobic project comes from transphobes (correctly) assessing trans people’s threat to all other hierarchies.
