It's not at all good that there's an effective conspiracy by the vast majority of Irish media in concert with the government to de facto end Irish neutrality by removing the Triple Lock despite majority public opposition. Democracy here, such as it is, is threatened by the right.

If Russia hasn't fulfilled its historic destiny, that can't be the fault of the Russians - let alone anything to do with Putin and those around him. Instead, it must be the result of a great conspiracy against Russia. It must be the fault of the West.

Hard to describe how proud I'd be of the Irish team if they refused to play this match. Probably equal to the disgust I feel towards the FAI and Government for putting them in this position.

I don't follow soccer but if the Irish football team boycott the Israel match I will turn up to welcome them home. Please give humanity a win.
