Scissor-tailed flycatcher parents landing atop the tree housing their nest with three fledglings inside. I've been chasing a shot of these elegant #birds like this for a while. #photography

A male and female scissor-tailed flycatcher immediately next to one another attempt to land on the two bare twigs at the very top of a tree. Over a year ago, a Dutch frog science magazine emailed me asking if they could include my comic in their upcoming issue about dart frogs. They were interviewing the scientist who first described the blue poison dart frog; he had seen and liked the comic. They mailed me a copy, which just arrived:
