My two don’t do this. When Luna goes berserk at a passing car/neighbor/squirrel/cloud/thought, Arthur will glance around for a second, but then he clearly thinks, ‘F it, sis got this handled’ and goes back about his business. He might back her in an actual fight… but he might not 🤷🏻‍♀️

One of my favorite things about having two dogs is one will get spooked and yell about something and the other, with not a sliver of understanding about what's going on, immediately joins in the barking as a show of solidarity.

That said, let us take a moment to thank our Bluesky Trans and Furry Elders for freaking out Jack Dorsey so much he bolted and left us this nice social media playground, taking most of his crypto chuds with him. We thank you for your service.

my neighborhood 7-11 closed a couple years ago and tried to reopen but couldn’t get the permit approved because there’s a preschool next door and 7-11s sell alcohol (the previous permit was grandfathered in). i saw a fence going up around the lot recently and looked up what was moving in: a gun shop

gun shop next door to a preschool

Another example of how everything of value in the world and every public good is being Potemkin-ed by venture capitalists. 😕 (Also, adding ‘once former self’ to ‘armed gunman’ and ‘violent stabbing’ in the Department of Redundant Verbiage Department style guide.)

"A city doesn't get hollowed out by too many visitors. It hollows out when too little of the city remains underneath them, when the thing they queued to see has been quietly sold off around them while they queued." Great piece on #Dublin by Conor McGuire in Western People.
