Ugh. I've made it something of a rule that if I return home from work only after 6 PM, I'll clear my schedule for the rest of the day of everything but the most unavoidable necessities. And, as I'm seeing once again: For good reason.

The Fae: so we’re going to take you away from here and— Me: I accept! The Fae: and you won’t remember anything and you will not return for a century— Me: I ACCEPT HARDER

Fae: “Tell us your true name.” Me: “…Just my name? No birthdate, no SSN, no fingerprint scan, no address, no mother’s maiden name? Are you sure you’ve even got the right Olivia Waite? There’s like six.” Fae: “What the hell kind of bargains have you been making?” Me: “They call it health insurance.”

TIL: “The customer is always right” isn’t the full quote! The expression is “The customer is always right behind you, their teeth long and wicked and gleaming in the candlelight. Run. RUN.”

Date: What do you do? Me: I'm a kleptozoologist Date: Isn't it cryptozoologist? Me, stuffing my pockets with lobsters from the tank: that's a common misconception

I'm at the park, reading, and a woman with an accent said to me, "Oh, you're a reading worm". I love that construction. It's so poetic when second-language folks speak. I did not correct her because reading worm is better than bookworm.

Today, I decided to walk into town to go to the market (and a few shops). The whole shopping trip took me about one and a half hours, but now I'm rightfully proud of myself. =^_^=
