"PRESIDENT CURTIS" feels less like "RICK & MORTY" than it does like an early-2000s MTV project (laudatory) or an 'adult humor' cousin to "BILLY & MANDY" - straightforward "Saturday morning but Rated-M" comedy stuff. Notable and cool that a genre series centers an older Black male protagonist 👍

There was a time, early on in the days when generative AI was less widely known and more of an 'intriguing new prospect' that I would feel tempted. I didn't act on that temptation, and I am glad I dodged what would've been the worst mistake of my life. I'll gladly struggle for something real.

Yes. Easily. I don't use AI today. Or yesterday. Because I actually enjoy writing and researching stuff.

It’s crazy how Brand New Day manages to NOT feel like an overstuffed mess the way SM3/TASM2 do, despite those movies being stuffed with more “pure Spider-Man” characters and trappings. BND just laser focused everything so hard on Peter’s character that it all clicks cohesively.

‪This movie has A LOT. So many characters/plot points that would usually make this a jumbled mess that’d take the movie away from Spider-Man. But it doesn’t.‬ (1/2)

Also, having a real-life movie star couple headline your movie has been a time-honored Hollywood tradition for nearly a century. It doesn't always work, but Zendaya & Tom Holland have had a chokehold on their generation since their Lip-Sync Battle in 2017.

Oh no no no. Fuck this con. They WANT to host the most famous sex pest in the anime dubbing scene and only shunted him to a side event because vendors were cancelling when they tried to have him as a major guest.

The convention has now deleted the post they originally made when they cancelled him. They have set up a Facebook event page for the store signing, and while I do see angry comments, I'm also hearing the store has blocked people.

I had a realization yesterday that The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a great allegory for Generative AI. Mickey pawns off work to an autonomous force only to have that force mindlessly use keep doing that very thing and destroy everything while using up plenty of perfectly good water in the process
