I have a soft spot for incremental clicker games. Meaningless Random Numbers takes an intrinsically repetitive genre and slaps it with a ton of style. Think Balatro meets a low-budget horror movie, and you've got the right idea. Free demo is up on Steam now: store.steampowered.com/app/4211060/...

Meaningless Random Numbers I've played a ton of incremental games, and there's not much that's mechanically unique about this game. But holy shit. I think my favorite part was having to quickly scan a bunch of fish for hidden eyes to see if God was watching when I go to murder a corrupt cop.

The result of a roll. I have four number boxes that each can be 1-4. I've rolled a 1, 1, 1, 3 which gets me both a pair and a three of a kind bonus. And then I finished the previous round early, so there's an additional 1.7 multiplier.I am holding a gun. Something is saying, "Fear." I am saying, "yes"I'm presented with two identical skulls that represent a local celebrity worth 6 Fear, and an aging, disabled man worth 1 Fear. I have one bullet so I will deal 1-6 damage. I have the option to Turn Back and forfeit 1 bullet.A close up of an eyeball fills the screen. The Devil? God? "You're Running Out Of Time" When you run behind on paying the Devil his Due, you begin to receive debuffs that make it even harder to reach your goal.

I was a bit late on the uptake for this one, but Meaningless Random Numbers absolutely SLAPS. It reminds me a lot of unfair flips, but with a bunch of fun incremental upgrades (and murder) to spice things up.
