(I have now applied for the Desmos Fellowship and PCMI WRM; I hold a generally favorable view RE: sharing applications, but! I have no idea whether either will be successful lol. If you are interested in the WRM app, lmk and you can see it. +If Fulbright DASTs reemerge, I have one that I can share!)

A lovely read ahead of #TheGradingConference in a few weeks. I especially loved "a bunch of quantitative legalese masquerading as pedagogy" as a turn of phrase—perhaps because it so accurately describes where I, and probably many others, started.

As a fun Friday math activity, we are doing some Alien math. Teacher friends, I offered this slide to generate some thinking with their first task of writing the first 100 numbers. Would you say the two sentences are correct?
