Weird how much discourse around the Mamdani grocery stores ignores the existence of the Green Cart intiative (launched under Bloomberg) that provides subsidized fruit and vegetable stands across the city under the exact same logic as the grocery stores

there are no checks and balances. saying this after the supreme court ruled that nothing the president does is illegal is insane. the only branch that could potential hold those institutions responsible is congress and the inherently anti-democratic nature of the senate makes it totally impossible.
