Dogpiling or harassing users is unacceptable. We have taken recent action against accounts for this behavior, and we will be increasing our efforts, consistent with our Community Guidelines.

I like how there's a new rule in effect to protect debate perverts because let's be honest, group shaming has been a thing here ever since it started. It probably helps that it'll give staff one more protective layer from the lowly small accounts that deride their decisions

Bluesky's anti-dogpiling policy will inevitably used when some transphobe says something heinous, and then they'll ban every single trans person who not only replies but who even mentions it. They've literally already done this before, years ago.

The Sony software ownership/piracy debacle reminds me how I had one of the first app-powered roombas and this year they stopped support for it. It's reliable and there's enough replacement parts online to make it last forever but because I can't access the software it's now a papeweight.
