I first read Pullman’s Northern Lights when I started teaching in 2001-02. Just finished the second trilogy after 25 years, in which time I read the first trilogy to our daughter & watched the BBC version with her. Not a sad ending, but sad the series has come to an end. He’s a phenomenal writer.
