i'm a subscriber to the verge but i think the written excerpt posted here is a little unfair here. "we have an open protocol we want anyone to be able to build on" isn't really the same as saying "we want nazis on here". most of his response is actually about their work on live events like sports
If you want Bluesky to take down Twitter, you should want Bluesky to become home for a wider variety of content. That doesn't mean they should allow Nazis on here, of course. But keeping this a safe echo chamber is way less valuable than breaking the hold of the Zuccs and Elons of the world.

So I bristled at this too, but then I read the interview and tbh I don't see any reason to be pissed at Schneider. He never uses the phrase "liberal bubble" or anything like it—that's all the interviewer. And the response quoted below is about attracting users whose primary interest isn't politics.

Namesto da bi že enkrat zmanjšali število postaj na naši medkrajevni liniji, so pred časom DODALI še eno kranjsko. Kot da to še ni dovolj, na eni verjetno najbolj turistično obremenjenih linij vozijo majhni/kratki avtobusi.
