Ditto NZ Govt after amateur coalition MP’s cling to “experimental” AI like a lifeboat in a storm to cut costs. It will cost us heaps. #nzpol #nzpolitics #AIExperiment
Ford has rehired hundreds of senior engineers after replacing them with AI backfired and has cost the company billions of dollars. AI adoption is blamed for Ford being the most recalled automaker in the U.S. with 51 recalls covering over 11 million vehicles in the first half of 2026 alone.

Let’s be clear. The fossil fuel industry made European heatwaves deadly. The fossil fuel industry made storms, floods, droughts and heatwaves so severe that they will soon threaten our very survival. The fossil fuel industry is collapsing our planetary life support systems.

How come all the NIMBY weirdos who never shut up about wind turbines 5km off the coast have nothing to say about these gargantuan noisy data centres that are springing up in the middle of suburbs, contaminating water, destroying liveability and property prices? It's weird.

Hana-Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke made highly specific claims about her work visiting rangatahi in prisons and Oranga Tamariki-run youth justice facilities.

I wish Labour would do this for all state house tenants when they get back in and forgive MSD debt like the IRD do for businesses. Make a difference that really matters. #nzpol

I can see some further news stories in the near future where undeclared creep glasses wearers meet consequences from detection via glasses proximity warning apps like Glasses Detector.
Great precedent for people who like to wear creep glasses, I guess. Discharge without conviction and permanent name suppression www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/auckland-...
I just needed to check y'all know that You And Me with Suzy Cato is on YouTube and releasing new content, right? The 5yo's television rotation now includes "Suzy bubbles" and "Suzy making a cake" and let me tell you I have some lovely warm feelings about it
Media owner Sinead Boucher told by a senior MP regarding survival of the industry: ‘If you were nicer to us, maybe we would care if you lived or died’ alongside consistent showboating by Seymour & Peters celebrating media job losses & threatening reporters yet Stuff et al become MORE subservient

1News profiling someone "bang in the middle of the political centre" who repeats myths about Labour COVID debt and inflation, thinks wealth taxes are "a money grab" but also won't raise money & complains he can't call himself tangata whenua Truly an important perspective worthy of the front page
I took election pamphlets to Foodbank to check everyone was on the roll. It was easy & they were receptive & thankful. They didn’t realise election day enrolment wont happen this year. 1 woman was taken off the roll so appreciated the reminder. Cld you do this somewhere? #nzpol
Nearly 20yrs ago we moved into a new build, with new materials and insulation and a heat pump. It was transformational healthwise. I figured out quick smart that setting the heat pump to 19°C in winter kept our whole house a pleasant temperature without breaking the bank. This now costs $$$$
If like me you are freezing in your house right now because it costs too much to turn on the heat - sign below 👇 This has almost 30,000 signatures and might just send a message to our don’t-care government that we don’t want power oligarchies in NZ - we want to be able to afford heating in winter.
The battle isn’t over until the bill is dead and buried.
