Hey councillor Tierney, please focus on actual improvements to transportation in our city rather than suggesting we should be endangering pedestrians so you don't have to wait a couple more seconds at a red. Those right turn on red bans are there for a reason. www.ctvnews.ca/ottawa/artic...

Had a full up accordion bus pull by me on the road. A stark reminder of the 80-120 cars this took off the road for the foot print of at best 4 bumper to bumper The city would be fooked without public transportation, and any elected official should hammer that home to the people sitting in traffic

Today, LRV1117 made the first trip from Kichi Zibi, all the way to Algonquin Station. This marks a major milestone and achievement on the West extension. This LRV will next begin testing all systems and components on the alignment. Congratulations to all the teams involved today. @octranspo.com

Parking enforcement equates to a ticket for every citizen/car every 2 and 1/2 years. But realistically infractions are concentrated in repeat offenders - sprinkled with accidentals. So this number is likely a lion's share of the same people. Data Autowa.app will democratize.

Nearly half a million parking tickets issued in 2025, city data shows | CBC News

Parking enforcement officers in Ottawa issued close to 500,000 tickets in 2025, nearly double the amount handed out five years ago, according to new numbers from the city.

Who gets to decide the future of urban Ottawa? The people that live there? Or the 192.7k people that never visit downtown outside of work? We don't need de-amalgamation but we need to have a frank conversation on who pays the bills.

Demonstrations, rising fuel costs among the pressures on police budget deficit

The Ottawa Police Service is projecting at least a $21-million deficit this year despite seeing the largest increase in more than a decade.

I like Hill, but the police need more money and the middle class are being taxed to death - probably two of the shittiest hills in #Ottawa to die on. - Suburban middle class barely pay their costs in taxes - The police almost every quarter are asking for an extra 20-100M in unaccountable handouts

Can we stop saying that raising taxes for bike lanes and transit is going to tax the middle class to oblivion? The average cost of owning a car in 2026 is $16.5k. It's an exorbitant amount compared to property taxes. Car dependency is bankrupting the middle class.
