So this is basically one of the entry points to becoming a reactionary

What are you doing with a gun in space?
good reminder that before the counting is over, election results don’t tighten. at no point is anyone trailing. nobody moves closer. they’re just tabulating the polls. it’s a fixed number that just isn’t done yet. to say otherwise is bad journalism but even worse math.
"it looks like you're using an adblocker to visit our site." yep! ha ha! it rocks!
"Liberal bubble" has only ever meant anywhere where right wing perspectives aren't artificially elevated and forced into everyone's feeds.
pleased to announce that I've been hired by The New York Times. my job is to commission articles written by right-wing politicians, activists, and billionaires where they describe their activities in whatever way they see fit. it's nice because I don't have to edit or fact check anything
there is an entire industry of people who give their opinion or predict how things are going to go and their entire job is to be correct are they ever correct? rarely. are there repercussions for being wrong, the thing they are being paid not to be? haha no, no there are not
It’s because all the criminals are leaving New York because of the socialist mayor
HUGE: Under Mayor Mamdani, New York City just recorded its safest first 7 months of a year in history—and its safest July ever. In July: Major crime dropped 13% Murder dropped 32% Robberies dropped 15% Vehicle thefts dropped 25% Democratic mayors are putting public safety first.
The only reason Bluesky is a liberal bubble is because it’s not algorithm driven & reality has a liberal bias. This is super simple.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
there is a strain of lefty discourse where you can’t come to any unflattering conclusions about the populace—those must be explained away by how they are being acted upon by capital—but I think you’ll understand things better if you understand capital can also exploit weaknesses it didn’t create
airbnb I’m staying at unintentionally created the toughest punk album cover of 2027
Yes. It's absolutely this! Dumb people hate knowing there are people smarter than them in the world and when they're told there's a shortcut to school they LOVE it. AI chatbot shit is downstream of this too. It's YouTube conspiracy theories for lazy people with degrees.
the point of most conspiracism isn't the prescription, it's the diagnosis. it lets people feel like they are cutting through complex information and accessing a secret truth. lab leak itself isn't always conspiratorial but this fauci stuff gives people a little hit of that.
It’s completely nuts that Trump won by less than 2M votes with near universal media help and worldwide rage at incumbents and the media treated this like a permanent sea change towards MAGA and now less than 2 years later he’s the least popular President in history and there’s no media reckoning
i cannot think of a lower class of person than one who thinks “influencer” is more important than, idk, running HHS. low class, low moral character, contemptible fucking cretins, the lot.
the thing is that they like Trump and want to help him. Covering him like he's a lame duck at worst-ever levels of unpopularity who has no control over his own party in Congress — how they would cover every previous President in this situation — wouldn't help him so they don't do that.
What a horribly bad framing. The president can’t get his own party to vote for his own nominee that they confirmed for the next-rung-lower role just last year! That’s not a “threat,” you incompetent people.
They're not a Trump court, they're a Republican court, and the fact those two things align 80-90% of the time instead of literally 100% doesn't mean they're therefore admirably independent. To even describe them as ideologically conservative is too generous. They are partisan politicians.
This stolen money needs to be returned to blue states by the next administration with interest.
“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...
Revenge for MeToo (which severely constrained their ability to rape employees), Revenge for Black Lives Matter (which called out how racist many of them were) and most of all Revenge for the 2021 Labor Market where they suddenly had to compete for scarce labor instead of the other way around
Just generally the story of the last 5 years is Revenge of The Bosses, including Trump's win in 2024
i worked for more than one client on trying to draft RTO policies that were intended to ease workers back into it and prioritize health, flexibility, and manager discretion only to see their senior leaders trash the plan and adopt the stick approach

The actual harsh truth about MAHA is that it is an anti-vaxx, anti-science, pro-diarrhea conspiracy movement. It cloaks its arguments in abstractions about "big pharma" and "free speech" to generate *the exact op-ed The Atlantic keeps publishing*. Movements like this need to be fought, not placated.
the national motto needs to be IT’S OKAY IF SOME THINGS ARE NOT FOR YOU
Imagine going through life expecting that everything should be geared to your personal knowledge base. I think everyone I follow here occasionally says something I don't understand or makes a reference I don't get. That's how you learn!
COVID was a moment where the liberal consensus about both expert institutions and shared personal responsibility were proven to be incredibly important and it has driven both conservatives and a certain kind of leftist completely insane because it invalidated their worldview
Ryan Grim wants Dr. Fauci prosecuted because we didn't know everything about COVID-19 a month after it was discovered.
This is basically how everyone else in American media and politics treats BlueSky users, no matter how many times we've been proven correct.
Shout out to the guy looking up David Lynch’s Eraserhead at the minor league baseball game 🫡
One more time: While many people insist they need to stay on Twitter to keep informed about the real world, staying on Twitter is more likely to misinform you about the real world. Stop marinating your brain in the right-wing fever swamp. It's actively making you dumber.
Worst part of the new @status.news report is that the Bari Weiss team appears to get its view of what is actually happening in the world from Twitter. They were asking Vega to include things that *weren't real* b/c they didn't know any better. www.status.news/p/cecilia-ve...
It would be funny if, after a decade+ spent on The Process, the answer for the Sixers was "sign LeBron James"
