The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.

You actually don't have to do the "well, you know, I disagree with MAHA but they're right that there are real problems with The System" thing. That's a concession you absolutely do not have to make.
More like Halo: Crashing Evolved, am I right? 😏
"The dems should do the thing I'm too gutless to post!!!"
I would like to strongly reiterate my “some of you people desperately need to block Will Stancil and get a hobby” position
Well some nutjob of some description definitely thought they were doing something hardcore here
if there’s anything I would want to drill into the public consciousness it’s that there are almost always like a dozen ways to approach any given problem and some of them will be more effective than others and we have to stop acting like the questions around it are against fixing the issue
They're selling skins for the single player Halo Remake!

Looking forward to the mainstream media writing about the Bluesky Consensus a month from now.
extremely funny to me that analysts whose entire job is to think about these possibilities are only now catching up to Bluesky Consensus
you will save yourself a lot of trouble and grief on any text based social media site by simply remembering that a lot of people can't read.
The dynamic where it is impossible to take credit for quantitative improvements in anything because it's seen as disrespectful or insulting to the exceptions has already made criminal justice reform impossible and it's going to do the same for economic policymaking too.
Incredibly funny that Elon saw what happened with Copilot and thought "Surely my AI will do better".

I really like this version of Kusanagi in the new series.
People who hate all the games Obsidian has made in the past 7 years are suddenly very excited that Obsidian is working on Fallout. Which seems strange if you think about it at all.🤷♂️
Man people are going to be so disappointed when Obsidian finally releases a new Fallout game and it has all the same problems as every other up that Microsoft has mismanaged for the past decade.
Not to sound paranoid, but anyone who is still defending Platner at this point looks like an opp. Maybe they're a troll, maybe they work for a foreign government, or maybe they're a Republican, but they're definitely not trustworthy.
challenging to phrase this exactly right because it'd be in bad taste to use this as a gotcha against all his supporters, but the journalists who very explicitly framed Platner as a rejection of stuff like "HR Lady Politics" or (ugh) "smoothgroins" should take a long, hard, look in the mirror today
Never has a post been so vindicated.
I wrote about the continued appeal of dirtbag politics, from the left to liberals, and how only a politics of grace and edification can save our liberal democracy Dirtbagism delenda est www.liberalcurrents.com/the-dirtbags...
The realest danger of bluesky is forgetting who your enemies actually are
i have more or less zero sympathy for people who radicalise themselves into actually rightwing opinions through arguments with tankies online. you allowed your real world politics, which affect real people, to get warped by exposure to basement dwelling hikikomoris who don't vote
My solution is to organize, unlike the people who have put together a choir and are encouraging other people to vote, which is not organizing, for reasons
It's weird to have Bluesky talking about the same thing all my coworkers are emailing about.
I fly about once a year, but getting through TSA on time always makes me anxious.
It's 2026, Adolph Hitler is president, the most important thing you can do is whine about a meme making fun of Southerners who voted for Hitler
