The only reason Bluesky's policy of "you can completely block anyone" should bother you is if being blocked by someone who does not wish to interact with you bothers you. That is, if you are not in favor of voluntary interactions. That is what the "Bluesky is an echo chamber!" people object to.

I absolutely bought the Tales of Xillia remaster. That games title sequence was such and absolute banger that I would just leave it cycling in the background. That said, I remember VERY LITTLE ELSE about the game. It was my first Tales game, and I am pretty sure I played it wrong.

It was promising that Dark Sun is going to have a mature rating. There is some genuinely dark (not just grimdark) content in there around race, slavery and systemic destruction for the benefit of the elite. So, I was sad that the trailer suggests it just meant “lots of gore”

I am a big, loud, white dude, and I have built many habits to soften my language in an attempt to offset this. Every now and again I will get dinged for insufficient “executive presence”, and when pressed, it usually means the culture really LIKES unapologetically loud white dudes.

When you do read The Jungle, friends, read the uncensored, original version. It is not only the horror of the animal processing and food packing standards, but the working conditions, lack of medical care, housing schemes and rampant exploitation and disposal of workers without protections.

They stopped teaching Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" in schools, and it shows. This book should be required reading for all Americans, preferably when they are teenagers. And maybe again in College to re-enforce the lessons. Regulations are NECESSARY in a capitalist society. Period.

A quick word on Taco Bell: That's where we found the suspected lettuce, and it's not bc Taco Bell is gross. It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!
