If anybody was excited that Science Fiction Weekly is aiming to "revive" Daily Science Fiction, you should know they are straight-up lying about having gotten permission from writers to republish DSF stories on their website. (Yes, I have sent a DCMA takedown notice.)

Looks like someone pirated Daily Science Fiction's entire output and posted them here, claiming to have author permission. At least a dozen authors to my knowledge have said they didn't grant permission. If you were published by DFS, you might wanna consider a Cease and Desist.

Hey! If you were published at Daily Science Fiction, be aware that a site called Science Fiction Weekly has stolen the entire story database & posted it on their site. All of my DSF stories are there without my permission. sciencefictionweekly.com

If Obama or Biden had done anything even remotely like this--attacked a red state, weaponized funding, withheld funds--simply for voting for Trump...you can bet not a single Republican would have shut up for even a second. And no Democrat with a conscience would have supported it.

NEW: In a stunning admission, the Trump administration admitted in court documents that it canceled billions in energy grants to states "based solely" on politics -- and whether that state was represented by Democrats and backed Harris in 2024. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/b...

You do not have to give people “due process” before you choose not to vote for them. You can just be like “oh word the guy who wrote rape apologia and had allegations just got another serious allegation? Guess he doesn’t need to be my senator.”

Since it's Pride month, I wanted to bring this up again. I'm a trans person trying to get the money to cover moving fees so I can get out of Florida and to a safer city. I've got some already, but any more help at all will be appreciated. www.gofundme.com/f/help-vale-...

Michael Scott: Oh My God, It's Happening!

she was SIXTEEN fucking years old. i never have words to give shape to the anger. every time someone’s “just asking questions” about bathrooms or sports or prison or healthcare or whatever abstract they suddenly think is a problem, there are individual trans people who pay for it. she was a CHILD.

"This stress of feeling alienated in her life was exacerbated by Jane's exclusion from the girls' restroom at school," her mother continued in the court record. "The option of a single-user restroom did not resolve her distress. Rather, it caused her to feel ostracized from others - 'like I'm being treated as this other kind of thing - as she described in her supplemental declaration."

"The move came after a transgender student who was part of Boise High School’s Sexuality and Gender Alliance died by suicide, and another stopped attending the school, the group’s lawyers wrote in a legal agreement reached Wednesday requesting the case be dismissed."

H.R. 2616 passed in the House of Representatives this afternoon. This is devastating. It's like a national "Don't Say Gay" bill only exponentially worse. We're going to need everyone -- EVERYONE -- to help out as we full-court press the Senate. This bill MUST be stopped. They are coming for us.

If you're a writer, write "i waited" without saying it. "I kicked back in my chair with a book and a six-pack. By the time Jack McGee finally showed up, I was three chapters away from learning who'd killed the billionaire, and two beers away from no longer caring."
