Patrick Stewart story that I've told before: He did a few performances with The Improvised Shakespeare Company, one in New York (for about 15 minutes of the show) and one full show in Chicago. It was the upstairs at iO in Wrigleyville - maybe 100 seats. Nobody knew he would be there.

Just some person. No affiliations that you care about. In this house we stan Red Dead Revolver 2. Don’t you shit on my beloved horsey game.
Really liked Smile and loved Smile 2 (primarily due to Naomi Scott’s performance), but a Smile 3 seemed likely to go completely off the rails unless Parker Finn had a real vision for a three movie arc. With new writer/new director onboard, Smile is officially just *IP* and is therefore doomed.
SMILE 3 is happening, but Parker Finn won't be returning to direct. David Bruckner will instead direct the next installment in the franchise. Nick Antosca is writing the screenplay.
look at the career arcs of everyone involved with bush stealing florida and tell me the doge kids aren't going to be a problem
I simply don't think the government should do this. I don't think it's appropriate behavior for them.
Everyone (correctly) loves nuclear wessels, but my favorite Chekov bit is the Abbot & Costello routine he runs during the interrogation scene in IV (ignoring the unfortunate use of the r-slur; 1986 *sigh*). Just spectacular comic timing on Koenig’s part. RIP.
My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.
This works because there is no cost to trying everything; attach real fuck up your livelihood and/or go to jail consequences to these tactics, and this method becomes non-viable.
Im quite confident this is literally true. All of them are essentially just running through the mechanics of opportunity and power. If there is a thing they can do, they do the thing, regardless of how little it will work, because it's all about maximizing potential mechanically (for themselves)
Very William Gibson-coded statement from Lula
And on AI: “I don’t want to depend on Chinese nor American AI. I want to create a Brazilian intelligence.” He also mentioned having Brazilian data centres dealing with our intelligence. “We will no longer be a peripheral country. We want to be central.”
*goose meme* What are the couple things that are important to you, motherfucker?!
Please just don’t vote
Nobody has given a single shit about switchblades since Crocodile Dundee saw one and was like “wtf is this pussy shit”
5th Cir. holds that the switchblade knives are "arms" under the Second Amendment and that the Federal Switchblade Act, which bans the manufacture and distribution of switchblades in interstate commerce, is unconstitutional under Bruen step 2. www.ca5.uscourts.gov/opinions/pub...
Every choice we have watched JD Vance make indicates that he will instead choose the people that hate his wife and children. He lusts after power and the approval of evil men, everything else is disposable.
I do have some hope that spending so much time around people that hate his wife and children will crack his stone heart
Motherfucker is literally the VP because he wrote a book about how shitty his mom is
eat shit
Relax. It's only an issue if hackers have access to computers that can factor the number 4 quickly.
The secret to escaping the Matrix is living long enough to stop giving a shit what’s real
If I had a quarter for every time conservatives built elaborate sociopolitical narratives over their libidinal desire for an underage girl, I’d have at least two quarters. Which is more than I should have
Do ya’ll grandfathers know you be gambling on your phone like a bitch instead of going to the local bookie and putting your life in danger with the mob?
Treating reality as a fictional, discursive abstract rather than an actual shared human experience, among many other things, enormously boring.
“At long last, we have become a bunch of people who would absolutely follow Randall Flagg from Stephen King’s famous novel, Don’t Follow Randall Flagg”
To "revel in the death of those who truly deserve it...is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order," Anduril co-founder Palmer Luckey wrote on X.
Am I the only one bothered by the thumbs-forward grip in a show set in 1985? Gotta unlearn your modern weapons training, Austin.
