corruption is going to be endemic to any economic system and any government, because it’s not about either of those, it’s about *people* and what we are and who we are and what we are willing to do and what we are not willing to do to enforce behavioral, legal and moral standards amongst ourselves

There’s also something so uncanny about this level of in-depth reporting and ticktock of the facts, when at the root of this we all know Trump‘s contentions are preposterous WaPo interviewed four experts who testify in pool construction litigation! Can‘t anyone just say Trump is crazy?

Reflecting Pool peeling probably caused by application flaws, experts say

President Donald Trump has blamed vandals, but a Washington Post analysis finds that the peeling tracks closely with stages of the renovation process.

4/4 So now my undergrad methods syllabus has 2 weeks on how to use Excel. We start from the ground floor ("This is a cell. This is a row. This is a column.) Students LOVE getting this material. More than a few get visibly mad in class that no one had ever taught them this stuff before.

Things I and friends have done to calm an angry abusive man from further escalating and killing us or our children: -Smiled -Kept normal schedules in order not to trigger a fight -Appeased with kind acts (cooking, cleaning, favors) -Forced friendly tones and words

Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"

"They want mass deportations, no new wars, and the American worker and family uplifted." In other words, they want classy Nazis, and instead they're getting tacky Nazis. How sad for them.

Young conservatives dismiss these estimates as an establishment effort to smear their entire generation. “The young men we bring to DC are not Groypers,” Nick Solheim, the CEO of American Moment, wrote on X. (He declined to comment for this article.) “They think Nick Fuentes is a blackpiller and a charlatan. They want to see order restored in their country. They want mass deportations, no new wars, and the American worker and family uplifted.”

We've had a number of older pedestrians and cyclists killed by drivers recently in Massachusetts, and something I've noticed is how those deaths are treated even more dismissively than usual because of ageism and ableism. People of *all* ages and abilities deserve safe mobility.
