refuting every claim anybody makes is not in fact how science, or any discipline, works discarding approaches that have proven fruitless or wrongheaded, not stopping to re-litigate them every time someone digs up a junk data set or a retracted article they wish were true, is how disciplines move

It's quite wild if you search "Equality Act" on the Telegraph website and just see the complete and utter somersault in tone from talking about it in relation to trans people vs talking about it in relation to anything else at all.

The real Cofnas story is why a guy whose opinions and arguments would make you get up and go to a different part of the dive bar keeps getting fed fellowships and research positions. But, that’s going to go against the narrative about the woke universities.

Join in at the chorus, kids: Tim earned the jobs he’s held because *he doesn’t have to be told* what to write. He knows automatically, without needing direction. That’s what has made him good at it. What is his job? What does it entail.

WSJ giving Cofnas a platform to insist that he's just a brave truth teller but also a small bean birthday boy. People should lose their jobs over this.

If we do not start to differentiate properly, many profoundly disabled people with ADHD (and/or autism) are going to be thrown under the bus as the backlash grows against these labels, in part as a result of them including so many relatively mild cases.
