sick of bein treated like we aint shit Detroit neighborhood honky

media when maga wins an election: we must travel the country and speak to these voters and extend empathy to them and give credence to their bigotry and false beliefs media when the left wins an election: is this the end of the american experiment

this is extremely infuriating because prior to the administration hiding and suppressing info the studies were finding, it was found that covid was causing some people terrible mental health problems. people desires for instant gratification & being in denial to RUSH a fake "back to normal"

When I explained to the Dr that my kid's personality changed in a matter of WEEKS, and she had ZERO symptoms - they flat out called me a liar We were testing weekly and caught it so otherwise, I too would've blamed it on preteen shit, but she was 9 breh.

I don't think people comprehend that money losing this bad in an election at the same time a competing force within the party can offer the votes money used to get is a massive shift lol

And the discipline mechanic of the Dems, in fact the only one they actually utilize, is the money cannon. In fact that's part of why they're afraid of DSA. DSA delivers volunteers and votes, not money, short circuiting the only disciplinary mechanic the party has used for almost half a century.

tbh I think that's a hot take. It's one thing to be lapped and outspent by 2:1 and still get 50/50. But 9:1? In a primary? It means either way the ability of the money cannon to guarentee primary elections is going to be much much more expensive going forward.

My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

was interesting to see the national media pushing a narrative that several of michigans primaries were 'mamdani like' referendum on leftist dems vs establishment aipac dems. ive seen it from several national outlets in the leadup i suppose theyll quietly shut up about it now w these results 🤣

everyone please keep your eyes on the transit one too which has been a huge "DVE"/race & class issue for decades in detroit & its suburbs they don't want the lower paying jobs call detroiters bums for not having work when we find jobs out there they won't do, they BAN the bus transportation...etc

so other things that mattered for our region last night: 1. transit millage - passed 2. DPSCD school operating millage - passed 3. Dearborn library mileage renewal - pass all millages on the ballot passed. why does this matter? state Republicans want to change when they happen.

well...michigan. you have actually not dissapointed me this time a couple of dissapointing results in detroit, but fewer than usual this is a new feeling

What gets me is that AIPAC is going to turn around & spend on the Republican in the MI Senate race while centrist Dems malign Abdul as a non-Democrat. But it’s fine & party line to support people funded in millions by donors entirely agnostic to their party & only concerned with a foreign country.

The entire Republican Party, and a chunk of the Democratic Party, have a direct interest in convincing you that conservative wins are a mandate and anything else is not.
