Californians! Short ballot proposition guide from a measured materialist socialist here- they are CRAZY IMPORTANT THIS YEAR. DON'T SKIP THE MIDTERMS JUST BECAUSE CALI VOTES BLUE. Prop 1- Bond to build housing. Always good, if just a small cork in a big river. Prop 2- Give the state a bigger coffer

You’ve gotta use AI because it’s the future. But also it’ll take your job. But also it’ll create a paradise on earth and solve most of our problems. But also it’ll end humanity soon. But also you’ll get left behind if you don’t use it right now.

Game failure? Layoffs Game success? Layoffs Game delayed? Layoffs Game delivered? Layoffs Game announced? Layoffs Game unannounced? Layoffs Game good? Layoffs Game bad? Layoffs Game AI? Layoffs Game no-AI? Layoffs Game hated? Layoffs Game beloved? Layoffs Money cares more for layoffs than games.

As the guy who was hired multiple times 15-20 years ago to write the think pieces about "separating art for the artist" I can say unequivocally that all has been said and argued. You ABSOLUTELY CAN enjoy the work of awful people. But that doesn't make you nuanced or wise. It makes you complicit.
