This is at least the fourth person with diabetes to die in ICE custody just this year. Many more have been hospitalized and/or reported starving themselves so they wouldn’t die after being denied care. Is anyone aware of any litigation specific to immigrants with diabetes?

A 56-year-old Mexican man held at a federal immigration facility in Laredo was found dead in his cell Saturday morning. His family says the center would not give him medicine for diabetes, high blood pressure and a heart condition. He is the 7th person to die in ICE custody in Texas this year.

The right is spending the day complaining that Abdul El-Sayed was "rude" and "a bully" to Tommy the Republican Operative at his town hall, which is hilarious given how they had nothing to say about a woman getting beaten up at a Trump rally as the president cheered on.

Whenever I see articles about alleged "indoctrination" of teenagers by professors, I wonder: "Has this writer ever met a teenager or tried to get a teenager to do something?" Reality: professors are possibly the least influential people in the teens' lives. We can't even get them to do the reading.
