In my life…politics, football (LFC) and whatever interests me. FRSA. Personal views.

Halloween, Bonfire night, Diwali - all in one week. Fun, fun, fun. Except if you own a dog or you are a dog. I beseech you, keep the fireworks down and if the lights are low, don't come for treats. I'm not Halloween Scrooge but my dog's gonna freak out every time a tiny vampire comes to the door.

When the second trailer for Picard dropped and there's a bit where he says "Hello, Will" and Riker turns round I choked up. Had not quite realised how important these characters - I like other bits of Trek, but it's these guys that are *mine* - truly were to me.

Really worth noting that even in Red Wall constituencies which backed Leave, most *Labour* voters back rejoining the EU. Over 90% of Labour considerers back rejoin - opposition to EU membership is mainly coming from non-Labour voters in these seats. Was on Times Radio yesterday making this point.

Trent Alexander-Arnold must wonder what the hell he has done going to Real Madrid. I sort of feel bad for him but he’s most likely ruined the latter years of his career. He’d have been amazing in this #LFC team but can’t imagine the club would take him back for the huge fee RM would want.

Virgil van Dijk doesn’t want to comment on Man City until after their appeal, and this follows Micah Richards calling on talk about City ending until after their appeal. Please, can we get one thing straight: they’re guilty. That’s a fact. It’s fine to say that. www.theguardian.com/football/202...

Woken up the day after the Man City game and I feel huge disappointment. Not at the result, although that was disappointing of course, but that football might never feel the same again. Many of the highs and lows over the last decade and a bit have been worthless and that is very sad. #LFC

A freak show that emphasised the farce of the Premier League's current unreality The response of City fans, which does complicate some of the discussion I think they are "victims" but that's harder when you're revelling in it (before the win) www.independent.co.uk/sport/footba...

This a million times. People of colour being dragged on to debate maniacs about imaginary labels & race science is an abomination. proper ‘how German are you’ Nazi shit Note that people like me with white migrant parentage never asked to defend our identity Englishness. Is. A. Made. Up. Thing

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

Sometimes the Agile Octopus tariff values for electricity can be expensive. But it gets balanced out by days like today. So far we’ve used 44kwh of electricity and haven’t yet reached 0.5p in cost for that. At some point over the next few hours that will go negative. Overall a cheaper tariff for us.

Manchester City supporters (and the people of Manchester) should be furious. Because the first people who have had the piss taken out of them is them. Even now the City statement takes the piss. You are meant to back this pile of bullshit, it says. You are meant to back it unquestionably.
