Left Twitter ages ago having seen the writing on the wall with Musk. Looking for balanced politics no right wing nutters please and pleasant discussions in exchanges. No unsolicited DMs please

And yet the govt expect GPs to co ti ue to provide more and more apps for less and less. Utilising cheaper and less qualified staff to do the same job as a highly qualified GP. That isn't fair to a yone involved, docs, support staff or patients

Today over 3500 GPs will have qualified to join the workforce There is a huge problem, there aren’t enough jobs, the DHSC & NHSE are failing to fix GP employment They have cut GP practice funding by 20% in 10yrs @andyburnham.bsky.social @yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social your issue to fix now

I take extraordinary delight in being corrected by Proper Experts. It's brilliant. They drop in like niche paratroopers. I once confused a plot point between Under the Net and Accidental Man and the Iris Murdoch fanclub magically appeared to correct me.

Your occasion reminder that there are now more Surgeons than qualified GPs That GP practice appointments are now 31-35m a month That the number of operations hasn’t changed And the share of NHS funding to GPs has reduced considerably And yet GPs asked to do more whilst hospitals do less 🤷🏻‍♂️

BREAKING: Outlander star Sam Heughan has hit out against Scotland's AI data centre boom, telling The National that they 'cannot be allowed' 🗣️ 'We have a country rich in resources and natural beauty. It’s sickening to think how ill-considered this decision is'

GP practices provided 35,000,000 appointments in June 50% more than 2019 Sadly too many in the media ignore this Many commentators refuse to accept the truth In the end GP practices will close, GPs leave & GPs will be blamed despite doing more for less year on year

Bravo 👏 👌🏽 Clarkson is typical ex public school boy, multi millionaire, who runs his big mouth off whilst plugging his TV Show A while ago, I he was on deaths door with a heart condition, which was easily rectified with a stent Then cancer which seemingly flew immediately into remission 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

saying this not as a dig to Paul but as a general point, but it does worry me that we've ended up in a world where the two options are seemingly "leftist bubble" or "oh hey the nazis are here" - surely we should be able to have a politically heterogenous platform with tight rules on hate speech etc?

The new CEO of Bluesky wants to change Bluesky from being a leftist bubble. The thing is, there’s nothing wrong with being a leftist bubble: the idea that everything has to be all-encompassing and suitable for everyone is a trap. 🧵 1/4

Farage put himself in the frame from day 1: “Farage negotiated the pact with Richard Tice, then the leader, in March and April 2024. George Cottrell, the convicted fraudster who had been secretly bankrolling Farage, supervised the discussions.” www.thetimes.com/article/9221...

Tomorrow is decision day on whether the Guga hunt will go ahead - the shocking archaic tradition of beating baby Gannets to death on the Scottish island of Sula Sgeir. We've given everything we can to stop it, and now we can only hope NatureScot make the right choice.

When will people lealise, Reform and Farage have no interest in people. They are there to enrich themselves. Using people, twisting their minds to gain power. In the same way that Trump and Putin have used their citizens to gain enormous personal wealth.
