Tbh my issue with most online arts criticism is that the vast majority of it is largely focused on building the critics personal brand rather than facilitating any interesting or meaningful discussions on art. A lot of online critics prioritize endless growth over substance.

This is more of a general observation but it kind of intrigues me when people say characters in a movie "don't act like real people". What is meant by "acting real", exactly? Does it mean the artificiality is too obvious, or that it's hard to engage with the characters because of how they behave?
The biggest fear I have about making stuff is having more eyes on my work and becoming the focus of online drama. The way I see people talk, it's like they have an idea of a person built in their head and I don't want that. Shit terrifies me.
