The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.

there is a strain of lefty discourse where you can’t come to any unflattering conclusions about the populace—those must be explained away by how they are being acted upon by capital—but I think you’ll understand things better if you understand capital can also exploit weaknesses it didn’t create

really excited about this space: this is something I've wanted to see for years heat pump, 120V, installs like a portable A/C, even easier than PTAC 15.2 SEER2/7.2 HSPF2 is better than some Big American Central units, but worse than most mini splits.

really want to ditch the gas dryer, but the 7.x cubic feet ones won't fit in this closet options: - keep gas until this dies, hope HP dryers get smaller - old fashioned electric dryer - put a w+d all in one unit in the garage and use both? I think wait is the smart thing...

Got tired of stuff falling behind/next to the washer and dryer. Suddenly realized I could solve this with some common board and a 2x3. Don't know why I didn't do this earlier.

made a similar batch today, also quite good tomorrow I will try to make a non spicy one: - sautee carrots and onions - add water, potassium salt, and msg (KING OF FLAVOR) to make a broth - grind 1/4 cup each of flax, hemp seeds, nutritional yeast - add everything into a food processor

"curry soy hummus" recipe, this time more of a proper hummus texture. skipped the sesame. Macros/protein estimate only includes the seeds unfortunately (soy + peanut + flax + yeast + hemp, excludes carrots/onions/curry/canola) $5 and 150g digestible protein per 2000kcal

Yes, that was idea: the small theropods are fleeing for their lives from the vomit, but one doesn't make it, & the impact force kills it. Then I imagined how this scenario might preserve if found in the fossil record, & drew that. Yes, science can be educational AND fun! 🧪🦕🤮🪨

We know how to decarbonise our energy systems. We know how to decarbonise road and rail transportation. We know how to produce low carbon cement and steel. Humanity doesn’t have to suffer ever worse heatwaves and droughts. We can avoid this.
