Why is this such a hard line? Because you need to, as part of your anti-Nazi work, show other Nazis and people flirting with Naziism that you don't get to leave it all behind. You carry it in your heart for the rest of your life. You can live a small meaningful righteous life- you can never lead.

The worst part is if you try to tell cis people about this phenomenon they won't believe you. Even if they were just minutes ago asking equally invasive questions
