Me: I never heard of The Devils. 1/2 my feed: oh it’s the movie we all love even though it was only in British theaters for half a screening and you could only watch it on a sega cd level quality rip. Me: *references Luann, a widely circulated comic strip* 1/2 my feed: WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT

An American religious movement founded by Jeremiah Sexmonstaire, The Science Bible Church of YHWH synthesizes mesmerism and Christian revival. Its cornerstones are "charity," faith healing, polygamy, and a secret fourth thing. They founded all the cities in Idaho. Every member is addicted to candy.

In the last few hours, Battlefield 6 has • Killed another popular game mode (Gauntlet) • Released a £30 'Shortcut Bundle' that unlocks everything and prestiges all weapons • *massively* restricted all XP gain (incl. weapon XP) to 300/min • FAILED TO CHECK THE NEW SKINS FOR GEN AI HALLUCINATIONS 💀💀

A new cosmetic player skin for the multiplayer FPS 'Battlefield 6'. The soldier's armband reads 'SECUTY' instead of 'SECURITY' due to a hallucination of generative AI used to make the skin.

This is just one of a myriad of very obvious hallucinations included in in-game cosmetics in the latest update, just two months after Electronic Arts was bought out by Jared Kushner and members of the Saudi Royal Family.

I rewatched Hellraiser 2 last night, still rocks. But, like, what I really want to know is where the carnival fits into the Cenobites' exploration of pain and pleasure. I'd guess that it's from somewhere between 1900 and 1940. Pinhead got Cenobited immediately after opening the box in 1920.

Screengrab from Hellraiser 2. Tiffany is running through a matte painting of an old abandoned carnival.

Ye have lost thy pass-word? Ye oath-sworn secret by father and father-upon? And remember not ye his Mother's Mother's name? And in what shallow midden, what rotten hollow did thy Mother's womb spit thee forth?

I make an unannounced drop-in to your home and we exchange some stilted chit-chat, and after I leave, you notice a new book conspicuously placed on the coffee table titled, "Your Gifted Pal: Being a Better Friend to Adult Indigo Children."

Hail and well met traveler, what brings you to town today? _______________________________ 🔹The McRib is back!(Lie) 🔹The McRib is back!(Threaten) 👉The McRib is back!(Seduce) 🔹The McRib is back!(Intimidate)

As always, great insight from Bouie. He has almost as much experience as the President himself does with digging his heels in to remain in a position where he makes a bunch of money despite everyone constantly shouting that he's surrounded by weird transphobes.

Similarly, New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie told Christie in his “Museum of Twitter” series that Farrar’s tweet was “defeatist” because it played into the idea of Trump being the only person with any agency — the “main character of the world” — that everyone else is stuck reacting to.

Instead, Bouie believes it’s the people and institutions around Trump — from Republicans to Democrats, Congress to the courts — that have made the last decade possible.

“Other people don’t bother to deal with the fact that you could probably get him to go away for good. They kind of allow him to wriggle his way back in,” Bouie said. “He’s really figured out that persistence is 99% of success. All you have to do is show up and not go away, and people will be like, ‘I guess this guy is supposed to be here.’” (White House staff did not respond to a request for comment for this story.)

It seems quaint now that we do all our banking and race science there, but, nevertheless, it's true: at one time, people mostly wrote jokes on Twitter. 10 years ago, I wrote one about an old asshole and it kinda changed my life. Not his, though. www.cnn.com/2026/10/01/u...
